What You Need To Know

A 1:1 scale replica of an M14 rifle, the heavy-duty M160-A2 airsoft gun is remarkably authentic. The rifle fires round 6mm plastic pellets known as BBs, which are propelled out of the gun via a spring mechanism. The advantage of the airsoft rifle, however, is that players can safely train, simulate, or play with the gun without fearing serious injury. The M14 looks, feels, weighs, and functions just like a real firearm, but is built for casual recreation rather than weaponized use. In fact, the only way you can typically tell a real-steel firearm from an airsoft gun is the blazing orange tip and the BBs that fire when you pull the trigger. The rifle also offers such features as a tactical rail system on the top and front sides for accessories, a 37-round magazine, and a tactical aim and flashlight.

Specifications:

  • Velocity: 360 to 380 fps (0.12-gram BBs) or 280 to 300 fps (0.2-gram BBs)
  • Magazine: 37 rounds
  • Effective range: 50 yards
  • Spring powered (no batteries required)
  • Removable tactical rail system
  • Adjustable rear sight
  • Functional safety unit
  • Adjustable hop up
  • Tactical aim sight
  • Flashlight
  • Length: 36 inches
  • Weight: 6.8 pounds

The Vitals

  • caliber: 6mm

What Those That Bought It Thought

Quite powerful, very accurate, great price

Reviewer: Joseph I. Chapman,
I got this gun a few days ago and haven't been able to put it down. The accuracy is quite amazing, once the sights and hop up have been adjusted. Indoors from close range (20-30 feet) you can place shots with complete precision. Outdoors and at longer range becomes slightly more complicated (especially when wind is a factor), however, at 40-50yards I was able (after a few range finding shots) to hit a 2' square target. The gun is very powerful, and does leave significant welts from close range, and breaks skin from point blank. However, clothing greatly dissipates the force, to the point where you still feel the shot, but aren't marked. The gun seems to be very sturdy (apart from the sling holders which are rather flimsy plastic) and all the parts of the firing mechanism are metal, which is good since it takes significant force to cock. The real M14 was used primarily for sniping, and this replica certainly lives up to that standard.
Great for starters

Reviewer: J. Wheeler,
The gun is made of sturdy plastic, and it just feels great to hold. Accuracy is also a plus with this rifle, but I would recommend you only use .2 BBs.. The .12s that come with the gun turn to curve alot, but a .2BB loadout fixes that problem.

The sling attachments don't feel as flimsy as everyone below says they are, which was one of my primary concerns, but chances are if you are airsofting this thing will rarely be slinged onto your back.

I also found that cocking the gun wasn't as difficult as people below said it was (maybe its just me) but overall this is a fantastic gun for those starting the sport.

I'll eventually get my hands on a battery operated m14, but until then.. This is quite possibly one of the more reliable guns you can get at this price.
